it’s about opening up minds to new learning methods and increased use of OERs so that materials are available to all. 50 shades of openness… How open is open? Need to bring the digital revolution into education. Question should not be ‘what can MOOCs do?’, but ‘what should MOOCs do?’ How do we design learning for learners in the 21st Century? Develop digital literacy, critically analysing online information etc. Universities play a key role, as educational content provider, for certification and accreditation, as research hubs etc. Learning analytics – need to develop skills and understanding of what LA can provide in support.
